Last Saturday ( July 2nd, 2016) JD's family arrived later in the night to stay the entire week with us. We celebrated Fourth Of July together, taught them all how to play cornhole, sat around the fire telling stories while snacking on some s'mores.. (my favorite summer snack, ever), had homecooked meals, but also went out for lunch some days, and dinner, too, we shopped until we dropped, we cooked out on the grill and watched fireworks almost every night..
basically, we had a ton of fun this week. I know the 3 girls missed each other as much as us adults missed one another, too.
First, let's jump back to Friday with this screenshot of messages between JD's brother and myself. How excited were we? Now the countdown is on for Myrtle beach, again.
Saturday.
We headed to the grocery store to load up on some groceries for everyone, I actually meal planned for the entire week and it worked out perfect. We had lunch and dinner out some nights, we stayed in other nights.. regardless, we ate and it was delicious either way.
got milk? 6 gallons was just enough.
while waiting on their arrival, we jumped on the trampoline and played on the swing set that their daddy was still in the process of putting together.
Sunday.
The one day I know exactly where we were and what we were doing.
Shopping, Pizza, Fireworks with family.
We spent the entire evening with more family at the 4th of July cookout, the adults sat around and talked while the kids all played on the new huge water slide.. later on in the evening as it was getting dark, we let the girls hold their very first sparklers all on their own.
In another blog post I talk about this entire day.
so.
In other words, it was just a great 4th of July having everyone together to celebrate this day.
The rest of the week is one big blur.
I can't even remember which day we did what, I actually lost track of my days this week.
All I know is every single day we had fun doing something.. We stayed pretty busy besides one day which was the only day JD had to go into work. We chose to stay in that evening, have spaghetti and just chill with the three little babes.
snapchat fun.
more s'mores, please.
I think we did this just about every night they were here.
I'll be having withdrawals and microwaving them on nights JD is at work.

We fed the zebras at the Wild Animal Park in Winchester.
We've been here before with the twins, and I grew up going here almost every weekend.
They did not have a zebra when I was little.
or a camel.
just goats.. and birds.
maybe a pony.
Viva for dinner ( our local Mexican restaurant that's just 2 minutes up the road)
We eat here at least once or twice a month.
buffalo wild wings aka bdubs for lunch because.... (drumroll please)
Wesley had never been there before as many times as he's been here growing up.
(GASP)
we solved that probelm asap.
but first. pictures before leaving the house.
We had to make a Walmart trip right after we ate and how sweet are they?
selfies with Momma before heading to Winchester to shop.
and before changing into a cooler outfit due to 100+ degree weather.
toddlers for sale.
up to 70% off.
The night they sent just Welsey and I on a Jules Frozen Custard run.. for 6 people.
thankfully the only cone we bought was in a cup.
we grilled and chilled.
and we said our goodbyes...
these three are so lucky to be so close in age, they can share so many memories together as they grow together through out life even if they do live in different states.
cousins are your first best friends.
This week was a week well spent, full of fun with family.
Time going by quickly can be a good thing at times, but also a bad thing.
We will be counting down the days until we see them again which let's not forget where that will be...
Myrtle Beach, SC.
Until then...
stay tuned for the girls third birthday.
holy. cow.
time really is a thief.
