It's the freakin' weekend

Here's to another weekend of family fun.. We always find something to get into, so on Friday we decided last minute while JD was mowing the grass the girls and I would get ready so we could go to Wilson's Wild Animal Park . This petting zoo has been open since I was little, I remember my mom & family taking me there almost every weekend in the Summer so we love to do the same with our girls. They love it, we took them last year also but at this age (almost 3) is so much fun and they can actually talk to us, telling us how excited they are while naming each animal we walk by, saying hi to them and talking about it the whole way home & even after. This place has pigs, goats, birds, lions, tigers, & bears...oh my.. that was appropriate.. right? After spending the afternoon at the petting zoo, we decided to go to Pizza Oven.. the local pizza shop right up the road.

Kylee just wasn't too sure if this thing was going to move or not.. guess she decided if Sister still hasn't been bit by this lion then she should be ok, too.

....If you mention " PIZZA" me and my girlies are in.
That is how our Friday went..

Saturday; it was just as fun.. we decided since it was raining we would stay in for the day but not before going our for donuts! We all woke up pretty early, went over to this new place called Freshies.. it's A M A Z I N G. These donuts are cake like donuts, they have Maple Bacon.. YUM! Kylee and Kaylee both always love to get either Strawberry or Chocolate with sprinkles.. JD loves to get The Applemen which is an Apple Glazed Donut.. Seriously, I am drooling and may just go get one in the morning.. or two.. maybe a dozen.. Don't knock em' til' ya try em' ;)
 told ya!

After donuts, we came home scarfed them up then watched movies all day and just laid around the house while the girls played and watched their own movies.. It was a very lazy day to say the least but it's always a fun day with my people.
I made tacos for dinner since we decided to stay in all day..  this weather has been rainy, just rainy. We're gonna need an ark..

Normally, I make Fajitas.. this time I decided to actually make Tacos.
The twins loved them.. although Kaylee takes like 2049543 hours before her food is completely gone.
No, really.. she hates to sit down and eat.

We ended the day with reading books.. it's what we do almost all day, every day.
But, I'm not complaining.

S U N D A Y.

It was another lazy day.. the twins spent the day mostly beating up their dad.
They sure do love their daddy and love his days/nights off.

We crashed soon after waking up.. actually I was the first to crash.
It's like no matter how much sleep I get, I feel like it's never enough.
who knows.
Soon after we woke up from naps, Kylee and I headed out for a few groceries in Winchester.. Normally, this is a family trip.. always.
JD just wasn't feeling up to making a grocery store trip on Sunday so I took one babe while he stayed home with the other.
As always, we are always snapchatting one another because the twins are hardly ever apart... and it's just not normal for me to make a grocery trip alone usually. We make adulting seem like so much fun but I promise, our grocery trips can seem like a circus some days.
Do they make the cutest little dogs or what?
Kylee and I hurried in and out of the store because the weather was nasty.. It was pouring and I am not one who enjoys driving in the pouring rain plus we were all getting hungry and I was making Pizza for dinner which was in the shopping cart..
but before heading home of course I had to hit up a Starbucks because, well.. duh.
They have these new mini drinks so I figured it would be enough to hold me over until dinner but not too much to fill me up.. oh well, it was yummy.
so if you haven't tried the Caramel Waffle Cone Frappuccino yet, you're missing out.

annnnd that's a wrap..

It was the perfect weekend, rain or shine.
OH, and we ordered the girls a new T.V. Sunday night and two new seasons of Scooby Doo to go with it.
A Smart T.V. at that.. ha. My children are out doing me at just the age of two & a half.
spoiled. loved, too.. but very spoiled.

Momma's Day

Mother's Day started with us waking up later than expected.. 10:30 am to be exact.. which put us leaving the house at noon when the night before JD says to me "let's be out of the house before noon.." nope.. didn't happen - but does it ever? nope. We woke up, JD took flowers over to his grandmothers grave while I showered and got the girls ready which turned into mainly looking for a missing shoe of Kaylee's for at least 20 minutes. FINALLY, we found the shoe after I had decided we were skipping the sandles and wearing the sneakers.. It was hiding underneath the barbie car. meltdown = over. Right at noon, we were walking out the door to head to IHop for breakfast or brunch I suppose, at this point. It's a good thing we chose IHop.. which has my absolute favorite breakfast food ever, by the way! After "brunch", we headed over to Walmart for a few things. At this point, the morning was so hectic JD & the girls couldn't even give me my card yet because that's just how our life goes.. busy, busy, busy.. always on the go.. never having the time to do anything for even two seconds. We get home from IHOP & Walmart, & as we are getting out of the car.. Kaylee says to me "Happy Mudder's Day"  "I got my name"  .... Oh, you got your name? What? JD just acts confused although he knew she almost blew it by telling me she wrote her name in the card for me that I haven't received yet. We get inside and they come running with a card & money for me, as I'm opening it up.. Kaylee says to me again "Happy Mudder's Day, Momma" my heart was in a puddle. How sweet are my girls?? Then we changed their clothes so we could take them outside to jump on the trampoline for a little bit & then play with their Minnie Bubbles before it got dark because after dark we were putting together their big girl beds. We decided that since they didn't have matching cribs because from the start we only got one that was white, then ended up getting a second one that happened to be brown after they were a year old.. We wanted them to finally have matching twin beds although we had cut the front of the cribs out last year and turned them into somewhat of toddler beds, we felt as if the extra space was needed & they'll  be three in just a few short months.. July to be exact. Why not go ahead and make the transition into Twin beds? We finally found two beds we liked and agreed on at Walmart so we bought the mattresses there also.
As you can see, it was a busy, fun day with my favorite people. I wouldn't change our crazy hectic life for anything else in the world, & I can't wait to add another crazy baby to this busy family of ours. I hope everyone else had a great Mother's Day also, cherish these moments with your babies because they won't be this little for long.

This picture just shows the personality differences between the two.

Yes, we had to change clothes three times this day.
Once to put on good clothes to go to breakfast.
Once to get into play clothes.
Once to get into warmer play clothes.

We have two very happy little ladies.
& one very thankful Momma on this past Mother's Day weekend.
My hands are full, but you should see my heart.

To South Carolina We Go - Part 2.

Myrtle Beach 2016 - Family Vacation.

After spending a few days in the small town of Donald's with our family, we all packed up and headed down to Myrtle Beach for a few days! It was a much needed vacation for everyone because who doesn't love a break from the real world? Although now, we are back to the real world and have been for a while now.. it was fun while it lasted. The only thing the girls talked about the whole car ride down and the week leading up to the trip, was "going to see da ocean??" - "wanna see da sharks, moooom" & lucky them, they got to see the sharks... and the fish... and the ocean.. and even a lady dive into the tank with all the fishies.. but no dolphins due to SC laws. The first night we went to Thorny's , it's a favorite.. they have really good wings.

We had so much fun laughing, going out for breakfast, (at our amazing condo - The Kingston Plantation - Margate Towers) playing Uno as a family at night, sitting on the balcony talking while people watching,  making memories. Speaking of the Condo, the Margate Towers are awesome, so spacey, & great for a family of 6 plus 3 small children! It was gorgeous & JD's grandmother couldn't have done a better job at finding us all such a wonderful place to stay for a few days! annnnnd they had Starbucks.. how perfect is that??

We went to Broadway at the beach for some dinner at Margaritaville.. we always go there but it was a for sure thing with his Grandmother being a huge Jimmy Buffett fan plus it has a store.. food & shopping all in one. Broadway at the Beach has tons of little shops, & bigger shops, too! This is why I love Myrtle Beach because you can always find something to get into somehow.

The last day, JD & I woke up so we could go get some Krispy Kreme Donuts because who cares if it's bikini season when there's donuts, duh. Especially "the sprinkles" according to Kaylee.. & especially the "pink one, mom" according to Kylee. She wouldn't care what flavor, just as long as it's pink. We went back to the condo, ate our donuts, & later on headed to the Ripley's Aquarium for a fun evening of seeing the sharks, as requested.

My eyes were so squinted because the sun was unreal.. now I'm back to the cooler weather in WV.. & I regret ever complaining about the sun.. isn't that how it always goes? oh well.

It was a great vacation, here are more picture below of how our trip went.
Enjoy!

Until next year...
