We started our week out on Sunday with the South Berkeley Christmas parade our small town has every year. Normally we invite everyone over, we have tons of food, and hot cocoa but this year we just didn't feel like rushing around getting everything together.. so we decided to just let people sit here and just enjoy the day with our girls. Luckily for us, the parade starts right in front of our house.. because having 3 year olds who need a bathroom or need to get warm as soon as the parade is over, it just works out well for us.
oh the difference in personalities... you can totally tell who our goofy child is and the sassy child who won't stop smiling until the camera is out of her face. These two loved the parade, all we heard about the night before was "is the Grinch going to be there?" "what about Santa?" except I think Kylee was more excited to see Minnie Mouse in the parade than anyone else...
taking it back to a few minutes before putting the hat and gloves on...
Kylee says to me with her famous concerned look.. "Mommy, I can't suck my thumb"
My girls never get very many sweets or candy, so let's just say they didn't know what to do with random people throwing candy to them in their own front yard.. Kaylee had so much candy, she made up for all of the candy she hasn't eaten in the last 3 years.
the night of the parade we decided to do something fun with them, so we made Christmas ornaments from dough with their Kaylee's hand and Kylee's foot.. once they're are painted I will put them in my next blog post.. those things take forever to dry incase you didn't know. They made their own Christmas trees, and gingerbread men.. elves too.
our tomboy.... LOL!!
She can turn into quite the baby when it comes to anything getting on her hands..
she was not having it.
this sweet girl... look at that long, thick hair.
We chose Monday night to venture off to dinner at CiCi's Pizza and then on the way home take the girls to see the lights at the park which is where Santa was at also. Kaylee couldn't contain her excitement the entire way there, the second we pulled in she was asking for Santa.. meanwhile Kylee just wanted to know if Santa could give her a candy cane.. and yes, they did get their candy canes.. thankfully.
Kylee and Kaylee love the Minions but what's funny is they sometimes call them "onions"
I tell them over and over... no girls, they are Minions.
.....another Christmas season with my family.
