Ok. Halloween flew by.. it always comes and goes SO fast.
But, before we get on the subject of trick-or-treating.. the pumpkin patch is our favorite. We go every year.. this year we went for their field trip, and then their daddy and I decided to change it up and take them to a pumpkin patch in Winchester. They had cows you could get close to and pet, a ride along thingy (don't ask.. I have no idea what they're called) that's pulled by a tractor, they also had a small gift shop that sold cute fall decorations + food.. I was able to eat like I was at the fair.. I shared a funnel cake with JD while the girls each had some cotton candy... that's the day we learned Kylee doesn't like cotton candy. I thought I was the only weirdo who has never liked cotton candy.. apparently not. Hill High Farm had it all, it is completely free to get in.. you just have to pay for whichever activity you'd like to do.. for us it was super cheap and a ton of fun.
here's our second trip to the pumpkin patch in pictures below.
Halloween and Christmas are my absolute favorite. When October hits I'm ready to do all things fall and then when November 1st hits I'm doing all the Christmas things already.. except put my tree up. I try to make myself wait a week or two into November before throwing the tree up so I don't get sick of it so soon. Thanksgiving isn't something I skip... but it's just not fun to me other than black friday. Don't get me wrong, I know it's a time to be thankful, and spend time with your family... but I'm thankful 365 days a year.. and we spend time with family a lot. To me it just isn't as exciting as Halloween and Christmas. For Halloween this year Kylee was little red riding hood because she is majorly obsessed with Goldie and Bear.. it'd be so nice of disney jr to come out with a second season already so we can stop watching the same season over and over again on netflix. Anyway.. Kaylee decided on a Ninja Turtle. I thought it was pretty cool she could choose to be a new ninja turtle each time we went to a place to go trick or treating.. the Spirit Halloween store had a Ninja Turtle costume for little girls that had all the masks so she could be whoever she wanted to be. It was extremely cold on the night of Halloween... half way through Kaylee was over it and sat in her seat instead of in the back of the car with us. We always drive around a huge neighborhood with the back up so we can get in and out easily. As cold as it was she was ready to home and look through her candy.
October was so much fun.. halloween movies, halloween party at school, trick-or-treating at school and on Halloween night, eating tons of candy (which we never allow them to do any other time).. it was definitely a success.. but our tree is up and we listen to Christmas music daily. It's time for Thanksgiving and Christmas. (wishing I could insert a ton of heart eye emojis)
we had/have candy for DAYS
Thanks for reading/keeping up to date with our lives with the girls.
