The start
of a busy, busy, weekend but full of so much fun! Starting with the fun
annual Harvest Festival our local Farm Market (Taylor Farm)
always has. It's full of all kinds of good stuff - crafts, hand made
hair bows, bouncy house/face painting for the kids, & let's not
forget the big green tractor the girls just had to "drive" before leaving which gave me the perfect opportunity for a short photoshoot.
Look out Inwood...
Are they not the cutest little farmers or what?!
then they had to "go peeeeee" so
it was short lived. but we made it for a little while at least. Later
that evening, we dropped them off at their Aunt Cindy and Uncle Steve's
for the night so we could head to Morgantown to meet some friends and
family for the big game. It was an intense game towards the end and
after we went into OT everyone was so hyped up I thought for sure I was
going to get an elbow to the face by either JD or his cousin Justin, but
I survived and we LOST...womp.
End of the game, I'm surprised I got a smile out of him.
I
sure did miss my babies, they never stay the night away from me. I was
so ready to get them the next morning, although I was so tired from
being out until 3:30 am, I literally slept through 3 alarms. Kaylee was
up half the night watching cartoons, no surprise there. She was still
asleep but her sister was up and ready to go home! She is not the type
to even want to leave mine or JD's side so waking up without mommy made
for an unhappy two year old. We headed home only to be home for a few
hours for me to make some buffalo chicken dip (best thing ever) for the
cookout some of JD's friends from work were having and that's how we
spent the rest of the evening. Cornhole fun, (I swear It's a game..lol)
tons of yummy food, good friends, & still a very unhappy toddler.
When I say unhappy, I'm not kidding. Kylee is usually the happiest child
on earth but get her around a crowd of people or anyone she is
unfamiliar with and she looses it. JD's friend sat down on the couch
beside her and she started crying as if the boogyman was about to get
her and then she peed. She's been potty trained since 20 months,
unacceptable girlfriend so up the stairs and into the bathroom we went.
She was as unhappy as we were after that conversation was over.
Thankfully, I was prepared and brought extra clothes but the rest of the
day was great and she warmed up to everyone just fine. Kaylee on the
other hand that child is the most outgoing little girl I've ever
met..nothing scares that kid except the dark. The dark is a no-go. They
are twins, but total opposites.
Give a kid a cup with some grass/dirt and she is entertained for hours.
"look mom its a big punkin" & still today, they are asking to go back to see the "big punkin"
Tomorrow
we are headed to Sutton, WV with my mom which is my grandmother's home
town for our Aunt's funeral. We are excited to see our family, but we
wish it was for a happy reason.
It's the weekend again, hope everyone has a good one!
