Raystown Lake 2016
Summer time is officially here for out little family.
Actually, we went to the beach in April so I guess we started our Summer vacations a little early.
We've been on two vacations, the first was Myrtle Beach & we just got back from Raystown Lake.
I was never the camping type of girl until recently because it's really super fun.
yes, we were still in a camper.. no tent but, that's still a big step for me.
The first day went great, the girls were having a blast and we were excited to just be away from our small town of WV for a few days.
Day 2 is when Kaylee started freaking out over the wind.
And I mean full out panic mode, you would've had to be there to even understand the fear she had.
Her plate of food blew away once, causing it to hit the ground and the dog ate every last bite.
From that moment, she would go insane, screaming & crying anytime the wind would blow which caused for a very stressful trip but when you have two toddlers at the exact same age you just have to make the best of it. Although she was terrified of the wind at the campsite, she was not afraid of the boat.. thankfully. Since being back we haven't been outside due to the crazy hail and thunderstorms we're getting so I'm not sure if it's a phase yet or if it was just something she feared at the lake. The girls still had a great time playing in the water, driving the boat, playing with Khloe.. Their cousins dog who loves the water as much as they do.
We were surrounded by JD's side of the family, his aunts, uncles, grandfather, family dogs, & cousins plus their girlfriends. The water was chilly but it only rained one day so the weather was pretty decent most days we were there. We grilled out every night, having ribs, hotdogs, shrimp, mac & cheese, a ton of yummy food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner..
and of course, what would camping be without S'mores by the fire?
Which I have been craving ever since we got back. This rain needs to go somewhere or I'm going to be making S'mores right from the microwave.
This American Eagle bathing suit was perfect to add to my collection of bathing suits.

Kaylee loved "driving the boat" and blowing the horn.
Kylee preferred to stay beside Mommy or Daddy at the front of the boat.
Summer time has just gotten started, and we're ready for some more
adventures with these crazy twins of ours.
Until next time, Raystown Lake.
